We are all great fans of the Angry Birds game which has had record number of downloads across all app stores be it iPhone , Android, Ovi. Now get ready to play this game as a board game this summer.Toy maker Mattel is launching this board game where you can launch the angry birds using a slingshot to take down the pigs. The game also involves cards where players can take turns.
The Angry Birds Board game costs about $15 and arrives this May 2011. Fancy getting one of these ?
Samsung unveiled a 4.5-inch WVGA Flexible AMOLED display at CES 2011. The display is about 2mm thick and is flexible. The AMOLED runs at a 800 x 480 resolution (WVGA) and can be rolled down to a one centimeter radius. Sounds pretty awesome right ? Take a look at the pics for the proof.

A company called GlobalDirectParts has shared a video comparing the parts of the iPhone 4 to a unreleased iPhone which they call as the iPhone 5. Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is official, will be launched in select markets worldwide

Sony Ericsson XPERIA ARC which was leaked yesterday was finally made official at CES in Las Vegas. The handset is powered by Android 2.3 OS and features a sexy Arc design which is just 8.7mm at the thinnest portion.The ARC sports a 4.2 inch display featuring a Mobile Bravia engine. The phone packs a 8.1 MP Camera with HD Video recording and uses Sony’s Exmor R mobile sensor.You can beam them to your TV using the built in HDMI port. “We’re starting strong in 2011 by introducing our most exciting Xperia™ product yet. Xperia™ arc combines state-of-the-art Sony technology with breathtaking design to entertain and wow consumers. All on the latest Android™ release.” said Bert Nordberg, President, Sony Ericsson The phone will be available worldwide in select markets including Japan in Q1 2011 in 2 colors Midnight Blue and Misty Silver. Price has not been revealed.
AT&T Announces Android Powered Motorola Atrix 4G
AT&T recently launched the Motorola Atrix 4G at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. This handset is powered by the Android 2.2 (FroYo) operating system and it will be exclusively available on the airwaves of AT&T in the US. Motorola Atrix 4G features a 1 GHz dual-core processor, high-resolution qHD display, 4G Connectivity, HDMI video output and more.
“The upcoming lineup of 4G Android smartphones from AT&T is truly cutting-edge. These devices coupled with the recent deployment of carrier billing as an Android Market purchase option for AT&T customers are great examples of AT&T’s commitment to smartphone leadership,” said Andy Rubin, vice president of Engineering at Google.
Motorola Atrix 4G comes with a Tegra 2 dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 48 GB expandable storage, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3G and 4G Connectivity and a 1930mAh battery. It is the first dual core smartphone, to be available on the airwaves of AT&T. The HD media dock uses the Atrix 4G’s HDMI video output capabilities and processing power to offer an amazing browsing, application and media experience.
This handset will be released in the first quarter of 2011. the price of this handset is not announced yet.
Samsung and AT&T have announced the Infuse 4G at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. It incorporates many new technologies.
For starters, this is the first phone to use the 4G HSPA+ network and also feature Samsung’s new Super AMOLED Plus technology. The technology uses 50% more sub-pixels for better contrast and outdoor visibility.

Looking at the specifications, this device matches the Galaxy S2 rumours. So maybe the non-US version of this handset might be the Galaxy S2 after all.
It will be launched later in 2011 but there is no word on the pricing.
Motorola Splits Into 2 !!!
January 4 was a big day for Motorola Inc. since the company finally split into two companies – Motorola Mobility Inc. and Motorola Solutions Inc. Motorola Mobility will focus on manufacturing cellphones and set-top-box. On the other hand, Motorola Solutions will focus on public safety radio and enterprise handheld devices. The famous blue colored Motorola Logo will be used by the Motorola Solutions, while the Motorola Mobility will sport a brand new vibrant red logo.
According to the Motorola’s website, Motorola Mobility delivers personalised information to meet the needs of consumers both in the home and on the go, while the Motorola Solutions provides business and mission-critical communication products and services to enterprises and governments.
Motorola stockholders will get a tax-free dividend involving the distribution of all Motorola Mobility common stock held by Motorola. Motorola Inc. stockholders will receive one share of Motorola Mobility and seven shares of Motorola Solutions for every 8 shares of Motorola common stock they hold.
Today, Motorola Inc. will change its name to Motorola Solutions, Inc. and will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol MSI and Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. will begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker symbol MMI.
Google has just shown of the next major version of Android tailor made for Tablets called Honeycomb (Android 3.0 ) in a Video. LG recently launched the Android powered Optimus Black smartphone. This handset currently runs on the Android 2.2 (FroYo) OS, but it can be later updated to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. This handset comes with a 4 inch NOVA display, which is designed to be the brightest, clearest and most readable among mobile screens with 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility.
According to LG, the NOVA display on LG Optimus Black also reduces the power consumption by 50 percent during general indoor use compared to a conventional LCD display.
